These lights are so much better than the 1000w Metal Halide lights that they replaced. Once we installed them on the poles, we tested the lighting of the courts at different wattage levels. The 450w was too bright for the courts. We then tested one court with the switch in the 360w level and the other court at 270w. The result was that the 270w cast a slight shadow at the court ends. The 360w worked perfectly, completely illuminating the entire court area without any dark spots. So, we switched all of the 14 Shoeboxes to 360w and have used that for the last week without any problems. Many compliments from the players for both tennis, pickleball and basketball.
