I always check for the UL mark on lighting, especially for a powerful fixture like this (240W on high setting!). Here's the simple breakdown: UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is top independent labs in the U.S. that test products for safety. That little mark means this light has been rigorously tested to prevent electrical fires, shocks, and other hazards.

Fortunately, I was able to confirm the certification and availability of this product on the UL product inquiry website. Therefore, this $190 shoebox light is highly cost-effective in my opinion, and I will wholeheartedly recommend it.

240W LED Parking Lot Light with Photocell: The photocell provides the dusk to dawn light control. Heavy duty material and well built. 240 watts puts out a lot of light. Light pattern is evenly distributed. There is a supplied light sensor cover to keep the light ON all the time. The instructions are clear and easy to understand(no need for a magnifying glass).

This is a very bright light. The light housing is a solid cast aluminum housing with heatsink fins. Its fully waterproof.I like this arm. After installation, it allows for the free adjustment of the tilt angle and rotation direction of the light, which is very convenient for adjusting the light angle.It also has a built in photocell for dawn and dusk. Its under a cover that needs to be opened for it to work. It responds pretty well and does that job. Be careful of your eyes when using it.

Electrician here. This is the real deal. It is a commercial grade shoebox. I have installed many of them over my career and can say, without a doubt, that this is a quality fixture. Different fittings are available. Though slip fitters are the most common, I ordered the surface mount which can be used on a round or flat pole as well. This will remain in my stock until mounted. I look forward to that day. I really like shoebox fixtures and enjoy the sense of accomplishment when a whole lot is finished and lit up.

Intellivolt drivers allow simple termination to any Voltage between 277V and 480V. A built in photocell is covered at delivery, but easily exposed should one wish to have dusk-to-dawn operation instead of in-house circuit timers or whole circuit photocells. Instructions are comprehensive and well diagramed. Weather seals for the mounting plate are included.
